Appayo

Appayo LLC (“Appayo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides the Appayo personal finance application and the website at myappayo.com. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Appayo, including the difference between information that stays on your device and information transmitted for account, cloud, support, or purchase features.

1. Local-first use

Appayo is designed around local-first use. Financial records and settings may remain on your device. Information that stays only on your device is not transmitted to Appayo’s cloud systems and is not available to Appayo merely because you use the application.

2. Account and identity information

If you create or connect an Appayo account, we process information needed to provide authentication and account services. This can include your email address, display name when provided, authentication user ID, profile ID, workspace membership, role, status, and related account preferences. Google Sign-In may be offered as an authentication method.

3. Cloud-synced finance information

If you enable or use cloud synchronization, supported Appayo records are transmitted off your device so that account and multi-device features can work. Depending on the features enabled in the release you use, synchronized information may include transactions, categories, credits or debts, credit payments, reminders, workspace data, and related preferences or finance records.

Appayo does not treat locally stored information as cloud information until a feature actually transmits it. Features such as profile photos, receipt images, exported PDF/CSV files, backups, or other files may be processed locally unless a feature explicitly uploads or shares them.

4. Premium purchases

When Google Play purchases or subscriptions are available, Google Play processes payment credentials under Google’s terms. Appayo does not need to receive your full card number to validate Premium access. Appayo may receive or transmit purchase identifiers, subscription or purchase tokens, product information, purchase state, and related entitlement information needed to validate, restore, secure, and maintain Premium access.

5. Support and account-deletion requests

If you contact support or submit an account-deletion request, we process the information you provide, such as your email address, request reference, technical context you choose to include, and verification information needed to handle the request. Appayo Support will never ask you to send a password or one-time authentication code to a person.

6. How information is used

We use information to provide Appayo functionality, authenticate and manage accounts, synchronize supported records, manage shared workspaces, validate Premium access, provide support and developer communications, prevent abuse and fraud, maintain security, and comply with applicable obligations.

7. Service providers

Appayo may use service providers to operate features on our behalf. Current architecture can include Supabase for authentication, database and server-side functions; Google for Google Sign-In; Google Play for billing and purchase validation; and the infrastructure used to host myappayo.com and deliver requested support or verification messages. These providers process information under their own terms and as applicable to the services they provide to Appayo.

8. Sale, advertising, and unrelated use

Appayo does not sell personal financial information. This version of Appayo’s public privacy disclosure does not represent user financial data as being used for third-party advertising or cross-service advertising profiles.

9. Security

Appayo uses technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information handled, including secure transport for supported cloud services and server-side handling for sensitive account operations. No system can guarantee absolute security, and users should protect access to their devices and accounts.

10. Account deletion and data deletion

You may request deletion of your Appayo account from within the Appayo application or through our external deletion resource at myappayo.com/delete-account/. You do not need to reinstall the app to use the web path.

After account ownership is verified as needed, Appayo deletes the account and applicable associated server-side user data subject to the request. Limited information may be retained only where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, dispute resolution, accounting, or another legitimate obligation.

Data stored only on your device is not controlled by Appayo’s servers. You can remove local Appayo data using available in-app controls or device application-data controls, subject to your device and backup settings.

11. Shared workspaces

Some information may belong to or be visible within a shared workspace. Account deletion is designed to remove the requesting user’s identity and access while avoiding improper deletion of records that legitimately belong to other workspace participants.

12. Data retention

We retain account and cloud data only for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, fulfill user requests, secure the service, maintain valid purchase entitlements, or meet applicable obligations. Information retained for a legitimate exception is limited to the purpose requiring retention.

13. Google Play Data Safety

Google Play uses its own definitions for “collected,” “shared,” data types, purposes, and optional or required processing. Our public Data Safety page explains how Appayo’s local-first and optional-cloud model maps to those concepts. The Google Play Data Safety form for a published release must match the behavior of that exact release and its included SDKs.

14. Children

Appayo is not directed to children under the age at which parental consent is required by applicable law. We do not knowingly solicit personal financial information from children in violation of applicable law.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Appayo evolves. The effective date above will be revised when material changes are published. Data-safety disclosures should also be updated whenever Appayo’s data practices materially change.
